Can I replace the motifs in my light box?
Yes, of course. Just fold up the side part of your frame and replace your backlit foil. You can order a replacement foil from posterXXL.
What is the best way of hanging the light box on the wall?
The light box can be fairly heavy, depending on the size. We thus recommend the use of screws and rawlplugs. It is a good idea to order our matching screw + rawlplug set to anchor your light box firmly to the wall.
What exactly does the laminate do on a laminated poster?
The laminate on the poster is a specially prepared UV protection layer that makes your poster resilient to water, slight scratches and colour fading.
Can I print the sides of my canvas?
Yes. To do so, use our Product Designer, select canvas as your "Material" and the"Print Sides"option for "Type". Make sure that important parts of your motif are not too near the edge as they could be lost otherwise.
What types of canvases can I order?
There are two different canvas types. In the Product Designer you can choose in the "Type" option between a 2cm wide stretcher frame or a very classy 4 cm wide gallery stretcher frame. You can also decide whether to leave the sides white, or to print them.
What is the best way to hang my canvas?
Depending on the canvas size we would recommend our screw + rawlplug set for secure anchoring, but of course you can hang smaller canvases on the wall quite simply using nails.
What can I do if my canvas sags slightly?
Our canvases are genuine works of art. They are thus supplied with genuine wooden wedges for tensioning. This kind of quality is rare today. If your canvas is not as taut as it should be, you can section the wooden wedges already fitted to re-tension it.
How can I mount an acrylic sheet?
You can mount your acrylic sheet on the wall quite easily using our spacer set (available as an optional extra). The set contains 2 spacers, 2 screws + rawlplugs, and 2 rubber washers. Installation is child's play and your product will be securely anchored to the wall. The spacers give your acrylic sheet a classy, free floating look.
What types of acrylic sheets can I order?
We offer two different types of acrylic prints. You can order the acrylic fine art print with a material thickness of 4 mm, or the acrylic fine art dibond aluminum print with a material thickness of 7 mm (4 mm acrylic sheet + 3 mm thick dibond aluminium sheet). The edges on the fine art dibond aluminium are smoothed with a special grinding device to meet strict design requirements. Use the “Type” option in the Product Designer to choose which acrylic print you would like.
Can I use my dibond aluminium sheet outdoors?
The dibond aluminium sheet is not specially designed for outdoor use. We recommend our PVC sheeting and outdoor adhesive foils for outdoor use.
Can I use my PVC sheet outdoors?
Yes. PVC sheets are specially made for outdoor use. If you intend to use your sheet permanently or mainly outdoors, just order the Premium type. This type is extremely tear resistant and has superior weather resilience to the standard type.
Can I can I use normal wallpaper paste to glue my photo wallpaper to the wall?
If you use a special wallpaper paste, you can use any other wallpaper paste to glue your photo wallpaper to the wall. However, we do recommend our Metylan special paste because it supports bubble free application and guarantees a strong hold on the wall. On top of this, you can remove your photo wallpaper without a trace if you use the special paste.
Can I see what my product will look like on the wall?
To give you a better impression of what your picture will look like in your own home, we developed a special preview mode. This mode lets you simulate a genuine living situation and apply your product to the wall. To do this, just select the Preview mode function in the Product Designer.
What sized screws and rawlplugs do you sell?
Universal screw + rawlplug set. 6 x 35 mm rawlplugs, 4 x 45 mm screws.
How do I know what kind of memory card to use?
Your memory card type depends on your camera. You will find details of the memory card type in your camera manual. Most compact digital cameras use SD cards, whereas digital SLR cameras will either use SD cards or CF cards depending on the model.
How do I anchor spacers on the wall?
For a perfect hold for your products, e.g. dibond aluminium sheets or acrylic plates, glue the hanger loops on the spacers onto the rear of the product. When they are firmly attached, you can screw them onto the wall. The additional spacers included allow for a classy, free floating look.
